Website Terms of Use

These terms cover this website, fatheringclub.com, and the waitlist on it. They are short because we like to keep it simple. When the doors open, the platform will have its own terms, and you will see them before you join.

Fathering Club LLC is a California limited liability company. Write to questions@fatheringclub.com for anything about these terms, and to privacy@fatheringclub.com for anything about your data. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

Fathering Club is for adults. By using this site you confirm you are 18 or older. You may read the site and join the waitlist for your own personal use. Please do not scrape the site, access it by automated means, interfere with how it works, or use our contact addresses for anything other than reaching us. Doing any of those breaches these terms.

Joining the waitlist is free and is not a purchase. It means we can email you: you will be notified first and able to join before general availability. Any offer to join Fathering Club is made when the doors open, on the terms shown then, and nothing on this site obliges you to accept it. Leaving the list takes one click.

Fathering Club is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or professional advice of any kind, and nothing on this site should be read as any of those. If you are in crisis or your safety is at risk, please contact emergency services or a crisis line where you live.

The words, design, and images on this site belong to Fathering Club LLC or are used with permission. “Fathering Club” and “the Portrait” are our trademarks. Nothing here gives you a license to copy, reproduce, or reuse our content or marks beyond reading the site. Third-party names on this site belong to their owners.

This site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be either, and we make no warranties, express or implied, about it. To the fullest extent the law allows, Fathering Club LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything on it, and never for indirect or consequential losses. If we are ever liable to you for anything arising from this site, the most we will owe is one hundred US dollars.

The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

The effective date and version at the top of this page are the record. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, waitlist members hear about it by email before it takes effect. The new version applies from its effective date.

These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute about them is brought in the state or federal courts in Santa Clara County, California, and you agree to that venue.

What you buy. This section applies whenever something is offered for sale on this site. The Portrait is a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout, in US dollars, and everything you will pay is shown before you confirm. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Your paid access opens in your account as soon as the payment is confirmed.

$50 returned when you complete it in full. Complete the whole Portrait within 180 days of your purchase and $50 goes back to the payment method you used. If a credit reduced what you paid at checkout, the amount returned is reduced by the same amount. Complete it after 180 days and the $50 comes to you as credit on the platform instead – nobody is told no. The figure and the deadline that apply to you are stated in one sentence when you buy.

The 30-day guarantee. If you don’t gain anything, tell us within 30 days of your purchase and you get your money back – on request, in full, to the payment method you used. We may ask one question, and you may leave it unanswered. The guarantee is honored once per member. It is an alternative to the $50 return, not an addition to it: whichever you claim first closes the other. A refund ends your paid access; the free parts of the platform stay open to you, and anything you have downloaded remains yours. Nothing in section 6 reduces a refund or return this section promises.

Disputes. If something about a purchase is wrong, write to questions@fatheringclub.com first and we will sort it out with you directly – please do that before disputing the charge with your bank or card issuer. If we cannot resolve it together, section 9 applies.

Cancellations. The Portrait is one payment, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. When the Founders’ Edition or any other subscription goes on sale, its price, how it renews, and how to cancel it will be shown to you before you buy.
