Privacy Policy

This policy is date-stamped. When it changes, the date and version change with it, and if the change matters to you and you are on our waitlist, we tell you by email before it takes effect.

We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone – and “never” means never. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect on this website today, why, who handles it for us, and how to see, change, or delete it. It also sets out, in a separate part, the commitments we are making about the platform we are building – written in the future tense on purpose, because the doors are not open yet.

Fathering Club LLC is a California limited liability company. For anything about your data, write to privacy@fatheringclub.com. For anything else, write to questions@fatheringclub.com.

Right now, fatheringclub.com is a waitlist page. Here is everything it collects.

When you join the waitlist, you give us your first name and your email address. You can also answer one optional question – What is the one question about your life you most want answered? – in your own words. That answer is yours, and we treat it as personal: it is stored with your waitlist record, it is used only to inform what we are building, and it is never published or attributed to you.

When we email you, our email service records whether each message was delivered, opened, or clicked, so that we know whether our emails reach you.

When you visit the page, our analytics tool records how the page is used: the pages viewed, the device and browser type, an approximation of where the page was accessed from – your IP address is used for that in the moment and is not stored by the analytics tool – and a cookie identifier that lets it count visits without knowing who you are. Section 5 explains how this works and how to opt out.

When the page loads, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, and sets the small number of cookies it needs to deliver the page reliably.

When you write to us at any of our addresses, we keep what you send and our reply so that we can answer you and remember what we said.

What we do not collect on this website: no account, no password, no payment details, and none of the questions you will answer when the doors open. Our fonts are stored on our own hosting, so viewing this page makes no request to Google’s font servers. There is no advertising on this site and no advertising tracking.

We do not use your information for any other purpose, and we do not build advertising profiles.

A small number of service providers process information on our behalf so that this site works. They work under contracts that limit them to our purposes; they do not use your information for their own.

We never sell your information, and we never share it for anyone else’s purposes. We have no advertising partners and no data brokers. We will disclose information only if the law compels us to, and if that ever happens, we will tell you, if we are allowed to.

Essential cookies. Webflow sets a small number of cookies needed to deliver the page. They do not identify you and they are not used for tracking.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how this page is used. It sets a cookie so that it can tell one visit from another, and it records pages viewed, device and browser type, and an approximation of where the page was accessed from. We have configured it conservatively: Google Signals is off, ads personalization is off, and Google’s data-sharing settings are at their absolute minimum. That means analytics data is not used to build advertising profiles and is not shared across other sites over time.

Your browser’s privacy settings are honored. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics does not load for you and nothing is asked. You can also turn analytics off for this site yourself in your browser settings. Blocking cookies in your browser works too.

Retention. Analytics event data is kept for the shortest period Google Analytics offers and is then deleted automatically.

There is no separate cookie policy. This section is it.

We honor both. A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser turns analytics off for you on this site, automatically. No third party collects information about you across other websites or over time through this site.

We are based in California, and the providers in section 4 process information in the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, your information is handled here, under this policy.

We take reasonable care with what you give us, and we ask the same of the providers who work for us. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not promise otherwise. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Fathering Club is for adults. This site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, write to privacy@fatheringclub.com and we will delete it.

The effective date and version at the top of this page are the record. If we make a change that matters to you, waitlist members hear about it by email before it takes effect.

The platform is not open yet, so nothing in this part is happening today. These are the commitments we are making now, in the future tense on purpose, so that you can hold us to them. Before the doors open, this policy will be revised to describe the platform in the present tense, re-dated, and sent to the waitlist.

Our standing commitment – the words you will see the first time you share anything with us: “The work that happens between you and Fathering Club is held with the utmost sense of care, and we treat it as a privilege.”
